A new mandatory regulation under Indonesia Ministry of Industry (MoI) has recently released in regards to the Cooking Palm Oil.

1.The new regulation of Cooking Palm Oil (No. 46 year 2019) is mandatory to be implemented starting on January 1st, 2020.

2.Cooking Palm Oil shall be SNI certified according to SNI 7709:2019 with the HS code of 1511.90.36 ; 1511.90.37 and 1511.90.39

3.There are 2(two) options of certification scheme that can be choose by applicants: (1) Type 5 Certification Scheme or (2) Type 4 Certification Scheme.

4.Type 5 Certification Scheme is valid for 4 (four) years with the obligation of min. 1x audit and testing within 2 (two) years.

5.Type 4 Certification Scheme is valid for 2 (two) years with the obligation of min. 1x audit and testing within 1 (one) year.

6.For imported Cooking Palm Oil, a local representative shall be required.
