To adjust to innovation development of science and technology in the renewable energy sector, and ensuring the safety, quality and consumer protection of user equipment Photovoltaic (PV) solar energy on the market, the Indonesian government through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has stipulated regulation on the enforcement for Indonesian National Standard (SNI) for Photovoltaic (PV) Module – Crystalline Silicon through the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Regulation Number 2 of 2021.
According to the regulation, effective as of January 7, 2021, all Photovoltaic (PV) Module – Crystalline Silicon to be marketed in Indonesia are required to have SNI certificate according to SNI IEC 61215.
